Bornif lighthouse

Bornrif Lighthouse, a historic national monument from 1880, is today used as a museum with many hidden stories. Today, you can tour the lighthouse and take a look inside its aging rooms. This historical landmark, owned by the Municipality of Ameland, is no less than 55.3 metres high and has 15 floors. By taking 236 steps, you can reach the top of the lighthouse. Having finally reached the top, you can immerse yourself in the daily life of a lighthouse keeper at the time. The panoramic view overlooks the sea, the vast landscape of Ameland and beautiful Terschelling.
