Where on Ameland does the boat arrive?

The ferry to Ameland departs from Holwerd and arrives in Nes on Ameland after about 45 minutes. If you want to take your car to the island, we recommend that you reserve it in advance. This can be done by contacting Wagenborg Passenger Services (www.wpd.nl). If you are not taking a car then you do not need to make a reservation. On Ameland there are always cabs and buses waiting for you on the pier.

What time can we get into our accommodation?

After 4 p.m. in the afternoon, you can move into your accommodation.

What time are we requested to leave our accommodation?

You are requested to leave your accommodation no later than 10:00 in the morning and hand in the key at the reception of Metz rental and management, at beach road 21 in Nes. In some accommodations the departure time is 09:00.

Are pets allowed in the accommodations?

In general, pets are welcome in the accommodations of Metz rental & management, however, there are exceptions. In any case, always indicate when booking if you want to bring a pet.

Where can we rent bicycles on Ameland?

You can do this at our subsidiary Rent Your Bike. You can indicate this when booking or contact them directly: 06 2700 0007. It is also possible to rent bicycles at our reception upon arrival.

Can we buy insurance directly from you?

We always advise you to take out travel and cancellation insurance with your (own) insurance company. Your own insurance company or intermediary is often more accommodating and quicker in solving problems. These insurances cannot be taken out with Metz rental & management.

When must payment be received and processed by the latest?

Payment should be made as soon as possible after booking. If you have not paid installments on time, Metz rental & management reserves the right to cancel the reservation.

Can we add bed linen after booking?

This is possible. You can rent and pay at our reception at the beach road 21 at Nes on Ameland.
